The Quality Assurance Unit of the Mauritius Standards Bureau is a third party conformity assessment body and is accredited as per ISO/IEC 17021:2015. Accreditation ensures that the certification body operates management system certification in a competent, consistent and impartial manner, thereby facilitating the recognition of the Mauritius Standards Bureau and the acceptance of its certifications on a national and international basis.
Certification by an accredited body enables trust between the organization and its customer and serves as a foundation for facilitating the recognition of management system certification in the interest of international trade.
Accreditation of the certification body ensures that the requirements for the competence, consistency and impartiality of the audit and certification of management systems of all types are being adhered to.
